We've Arrived!

So, here we are in Germany. The plane ride over was a test of our endurance and stamina. We left home at what we thought would allow us plenty of time to arrive at the airport, check in, obtain our boarding passes, and lounge around for a bit before our flight. After standing in the security line for what seemed too long compared to when we needed to board our flight, we made it through, walked to our boarding area and immediately boarded the flight. What about the breakfast we were going to leisurely eat before our flight? At the connect in Atlanta we had time to grab a bite to eat and then head on the Munich.

I don't want to re-examine the 10 hours from Atlanta to Munich, so let's just say we arrived! It felt so good to see Cory ready to escort us to Grafenwohr. The most frightening thing between our home and his was the ride on the autobahn. Wow! You can really go fast. I am so used to freeway traffic were you go from 80 to 0 in 30 seconds that I kept anticipating brake lights in front of us. But they truly know how to drive in Germany and after a while I could settle back and actually check out the scenery.

Can I tell you how wonderful it was to see Jeffrey look up at us and smile when we came through the door. He wasn't frightened at all by the fuss Rick and I made over him. Tricia has made a comfortable home for their little family and we are anxious for the next two weeks and the wonder it will present. This will be the most exciting Christmas Rick and I have had for the last several years. Maybe we should go out of the country every year, huh?
